Mike Tyson’s Daughter

Billy WhizzBoxing

Mike Tyson’s daughter was found hanging from a cord yesterday. Exodus who is only 4 years old somehow appears to have got caught in the cable that was hanging from a treadmill in the family home. Latest reports are that she is in an “extremely critical condition”.

Kids are durable and hopefully she’ll pull through. Mike Tyson despite his wrongs is still one of my favourite boxers of all time. Iron Mike truly set the world alight when he stepped onto the world scene in his no-nonsense black boots.

Tyson has flown from Las Vegas to the family home in Phoenix on hearing news of the accident. Personally I hope that it’s nothing but good news from here on in.

England vs West Indies Test Match Live Online

Bill BummeryCricket

There’s nothing I like more than a good Cricket test match (well I suppose there are a few things, Siren from Gladiators being one) and so it’s great to see that the summer tour series has finally got going with England playing the West Indies. Unfortunately I’m still stuck in the office which makes watching the cricket live a bit of a problem. It’s the same with every test match, a 5 day game when you only have 2 days of a week! What are you supposed to do to watch the cricket live?

Of course the answer can be found online. There are loads of ways of watching live cricket online and the tests between England and the West Indies are no different. All you need is some P2P software and the channels that are showing the cricket. You can get the software from this website. The channels you need will be in the live cricket link at the top of this page. It’s just a case of using the streaming software to find the channels.

Whatever you do though make sure that it’s OK with your boss first (mine is pretty cool). As long as it’s OK you’ll be watching the England vs West Indies test online in no time.

The Best Rally Crash Ever!

CloughRally

And by best I do of course mean worst (depending on your view on crashes in motorsport ;) )

Jari-Matti Latvala shows you why it’s never a good reason to cut a corner (and to always wear a seat belt, and have a rally grade roll-cage in place). Amazingly both he and his co-driver walked away from this rally crash that involved them rolling 17 times down a cliff! Enjoy:-

Liverpool v Chelsea – It’s A Funny Old Game

Billy WhizzFootball, Tennis

LIVERPOOL V CHELSEA IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUEWhat are the odds then? Surely some smart ass must have worked out what the odds were of Liverpool playing Chelsea again in the Champions League? It’s the 5th year in a row now. At least one good thing comes from it, seeing as how the 2 other English teams made a right balls up of their first leg matches last night at least we know that one English team will be making it through to the Champions League semi-finals!

Macheda Who?

Billy WhizzFootball

If you’re not a Manchester United fan you may be forgiven for wondering just who the hell 17 year old Frederico Macheda is, and where that wonder goal against Aston Villa came from?

Thing is though if you’ve been following United closely for the last year you’ll know all about him. This lad is going to be a star, no if’s but’s or maybe’s about it. Frederico Macheda is set to become a United legend.

KERS In Formula 1

Billy WhizzFormula 1

OK, I admit it. I didn’t have a bloody clue what was going on last weekend in Australia. Within 1 week the world of the Formula 1 fan has gone from one of expectation to that of confusion. How many appeals does it take until we actually get a result – you know, a final result?! But the thing that confused me the most was all the talk of curves, kerbs (no you muppets), the KERS system – an arcade style speed boost. Here for the average man in the street is an explanation of what KERS means to Formula 1.

Formula 1 – 2009 Season

Bill BummeryFormula 1

Here’s the truth – I’ve tried to write this post 4 times to date and each time I’ve failed. Every time I’m happy with it something else changes, I can not remember a closed season in Formula 1 that has had so much drama. It’s funny though, because with all the talk of change, the world falling apart, we are basically left with the same teams racing for the same points and the same championship. For all the talk Formula 1 in 2009 has changed naff all.

Pictures Of Gladiator Tempest

Billy WhizzGladiators

After a bad week for sport I’m sure we could all do with looking at some hot female sporty action, well I could anyway. Pictures of the Gladiator Tempest (Lucy Boggis) should do the trick. Lucy joins the list of hot chicks to have made it on to The Sports Community, joining Ola Jordan and fellow Gladiator Siren (Amy Guy). A lot of people would argue that Tempest is much more naturally attractive than Siren, she looks like the ultimate girl next door. Outside of Gladiators Lucy Boggis is a full time athlete (see I don’t just post any hot girl) and is even hoping to take part in the 2012 Olympics. In Gladiators Tempest is always looking one hot babe.

Sri Lankan Cricketers Shot In Pakistan

Bill BummeryCricket

SRI LANKAN CRICKETERS ATTACKED IN PAKISTAN
News has just broke that at least 5 Sri Lankan cricketers have been injured after their bus was attacked by gunmen during a tour of Pakistan. The team were attacked whilst on their way to a stadium in the Pakistani city of Lahore. A number of local security tasked with protecting them were killed during the attack.

With all the fears that came to the fore with England’s recent tour of India (fears caused in the most by what were thought to be Pakistani based terrorists) is it now time to stop playing international cricket matches in Pakistan?

Football – The Perfect Storm

Billy WhizzFootball

This week sees something that I can’t remember ever happening in football before. In 1 week all of the major English and European competitions will be played. Tonight and tomorrow night we have the champions league with 4 English teams in action. For the next 3 nights there are live FA Cup 5th round replays. Thursday sees the second leg of the UEFA Cup games played last week and to top all that of Saturday and Sunday sees an almost full Premier League line up as well as Sundays Carling Cup final between Man Utd and Spurs.
