Super Bowl (of chips)

Billy WhizzAmerican Football

It’s that time of year again. The time when the fattest nation on the planet chow down 14,500 tonnes of crisps all in the name of……SPORT. Super Bowl Sunday is coming up this weekend and although the sport of American Football bores me half to death I find the whole show side of it amazing.

Best Throw-In Ever!

SteveOFootball

Somebody just sent me a link to this and I just had to post it! So everybody knows that it’s Football not Soccer and we can ignore that just to laugh at the dumb shit kid that seems determined to ignore the distance rule at throw-ins. Was it really worth it, well was it? I don’t know if this was done on purpose or not (I hope it was) but either way this has to go down as not only the funniest, but also the best throw-in ever!

Streaker At Australian Open – Video

Billy WhizzTennis

I’m not a Tennis fan, in fact fair to say that I hate tennis! It’s good to see though that every now and then something interesting happens, like the streaker at Australian open who interupted a doubles match involving the Williams sisters. Good old Aussies, you can always rely on them to cheer up something dull. The streaker managed to stay on the court for a total of 14 seconds, not bad going at all, seems like the security weren’t that bothered. You’d think that if you’re going to bother streaking you might think about an all over tan first though.

Favourite Steven Gerrard Chants

SteveOFootball

The great thing about football fans is that you can always rely on them to show sympathy when a players personal life is heading for the shitter. Steven Gerrard is the latest in a long line to come in for it, here’s a few of my favourite Steven Gerrard chants at the moment:-

BDO, It’s A Bit Like The Disabled Cousin Of The PDC

Bill BummeryDarts

I was watching the darts last night on BBC 2. Oh what a come down from the PDC World Championships that was shown on Sky Sports! Sunday night saw the final that most people wanted, Phil Taylor vs Raymond van Barneveld. Unfortunately it was all over a little quicker than I would have liked, Taylor racing to the 7 sets required for victory. In the process Phil Taylor set a new PDC record averaging over 110 with 3 darts for the final.

Pictures Of New Gladiator Siren

Billy WhizzGladiators

Ok so I know this isn’t strictly a sport but any excuse to post up some pictures of the new Gladiator Siren (Amy Guy).   She goes straight to the top of my hot list with Ola.  She was a topless model for a while but ignoring that she is stunning in any state of dress.  Gladiators is on Saturday night on Sky 1, if you Sky Plus it you can cut out all the rubbish and concentrate on Siren!

Sporting Highlight of 2008

Billy WhizzDarts

Forget the Olmpyics, the Champions League final or anything else.  My sporting highlight for 2008 has come right at the end of the year.  The PDC World Darts Championship 2009 has already thrown up a few classic games but there hasn’t been anything to rival the Raymond van Barneveld v Ronnie Baxter game in this sport for quite some time.  It’s not like they were both scoring perfectly either, it’s just that as they both took turns to miss the game just went on and on all the way down the the deciding leg in the 7th set.  Awesome crowd, awesome darts and one of those rare moments in sport where you really don’t have a fucking clue whose going to win!  All in all a classic!
