Henry, Son Of The Legendry John Surtees Dies In Freak Accident

Billy WhizzMotorsport

I’ve been following all forms of motorsport since when I was a young kid. If I could have been anything I would have chosen to be an F1 driver. In all those years (and there have been plenty) I have seen some enormous crashes, and yet 99% of the time poeple walk away relatively unscathed.

So I was shocked then to see the video of the accident that caused the death of Henry Surtees, son of the legend that is John Surtees during a F2 race at Brands Hatch on Sunday. How unlucky can you be? It wasn’t the impact of the crash that killed him, the fatal head injuries were received from the flying tyre. RIP young man.

Michael Owen – Are Man Utd Fans Eating Their Words?

Billy WhizzFootball

The reason I ask is because when news of Michael Owen signing for Manchester United broke not one United fan that I know supported it. They ALL wanted him to fail his medical.

So what’s the story now boys? Has 2 goals in 2 games changed your mind or will he always be the poisoned scouse dwarf?

UFC 100 Henderson vs Bisping KO

Billy WhizzMMA

We continue our series of great sporting moments with what is perhaps one of the best KO’s in MMA history. Saturday saw UFC 100 and a huge grudge match between the UK’s Michael Bisping and the US’s Dan Henderson. Normally in this situation we’d back the UK fighter all the way but (to be honest) Bisping had been running his mouth something stupid. Here’s the pre fight interview with Bisping:-

Take special notice of the talk of a big right hand and how he’ll just be too quick for it. Hmm. And here we have what actually happened in the fight.

Bisping got his face smashed by an awesome right hand, total KO! So the punch afterwards wasn’t really needed but when you’ve got 2 guys that really don’t like each other then there’s always going to be some “niggle”. All in all an awesome knockout and probably my favourite in UFC MMA history to date.

Shock News – Its Liverpool’s Year This Year Says Johnson

Billy WhizzFootball

That’s right people, in a piece of prediction that would have Mystic Meg quaking in her boots Liverpool’s latest (and only significant) summer signing has declared that this year will be Liverpool’s year to win the Premier League title! Of course anybody who has been on Earth for more than 6 months will realise that the exact same thing has been said by every player signing for Liverpool over the last 15 years. In fact if you have any friends who support Liverpool you will no doubt have heard it from them as well – every year is Liverpool’s year.

So will this year be Liverpool’s year? Probably not. They may have stood a better chance if they hadn’t wasted 18 million pounds on a second rate fullback and instead concentrated on providing some overall depth to their squad. But either way there is no doubt that Glen Johnson will be very popular in the Anfield changing rooms after predicting a league win so early in his Liverpool career, rumour even has it that he is likely to push Fernando Torres out as Jamie Carragher’s “bit on the side”.
