Aston Villa v CSKA Moscow – It Was OK

Football

Sods law dictated that on Wednesday I ended up having to work instead, still I was determined to put myself through A whole UEFA Cup game so that I could justify my rantings. Luckily there are plenty of online sources for watching live footy so I was OK (I ended up using the live streaming service of one of the bookies, BWIN). For those of you interested in watching live football online a few of the bookmakers over live footy streams, the European Club competitions are always well covered. Anyway, bwin’s service was top notch and not really that different to watching the game on the goggle box. But enough of that, the actual game itself was also pretty good, not blood and thunder action but as far as European football goes it was up there with what you’d see in the Champions League.
Villa started badly and after and went behind to a well deserved goal after only 14 minutes. If anything the Villa players were looking a little worn out but as the game went on they seemed to pick themselves up and get into it. Finally scoring an equalizer in the 69th minute. From that point onwards both teams had chances to win the game although all things considered Villa probably should have clinched it in the final minutes. Overall though a good game with plenty of goal action. Who knows I may even watch the second leg.
(I did watch the Man City UEFA cup game last night and that was dire though so I’m not fully into this competition).
