Lack Of Ashes Coverage

Bill BummeryCricket

If you’re wondering why there has been a lack of Ashes coverage on here then I’m afraid it’s fairly obvious. It was only natural that no matter how much the expectation from the English fans at some poinht England would collapse completely into a pile of shitness rarely seen on the world sports stage.

Sure I was tempted to gloat after the first few tests, I’m bloody glad I didn’t now!

(ps if you’re still wanting to watch then there’s the live cricket link at the top of the page)

England vs West Indies Test Match Live Online

Bill BummeryCricket

There’s nothing I like more than a good Cricket test match (well I suppose there are a few things, Siren from Gladiators being one) and so it’s great to see that the summer tour series has finally got going with England playing the West Indies. Unfortunately I’m still stuck in the office which makes watching the cricket live a bit of a problem. It’s the same with every test match, a 5 day game when you only have 2 days of a week! What are you supposed to do to watch the cricket live?

Of course the answer can be found online. There are loads of ways of watching live cricket online and the tests between England and the West Indies are no different. All you need is some P2P software and the channels that are showing the cricket. You can get the software from this website. The channels you need will be in the live cricket link at the top of this page. It’s just a case of using the streaming software to find the channels.

Whatever you do though make sure that it’s OK with your boss first (mine is pretty cool). As long as it’s OK you’ll be watching the England vs West Indies test online in no time.

Sri Lankan Cricketers Shot In Pakistan

Bill BummeryCricket

SRI LANKAN CRICKETERS ATTACKED IN PAKISTAN
News has just broke that at least 5 Sri Lankan cricketers have been injured after their bus was attacked by gunmen during a tour of Pakistan. The team were attacked whilst on their way to a stadium in the Pakistani city of Lahore. A number of local security tasked with protecting them were killed during the attack.

With all the fears that came to the fore with England’s recent tour of India (fears caused in the most by what were thought to be Pakistani based terrorists) is it now time to stop playing international cricket matches in Pakistan?

Bill BummeryCricket

The one day series of internationals between India and Sri-Lanka gets underway today. The 2 sides will play each other a total of 6 times in the upcoming weeks, 5 one day internations followed by a 20-20 game. India having had their tour of Pakistan cancelled recently should be looking forward to this.

England are Rubbish…

Bill BummeryCricket, Football, Rugby

…or do we just expect far too much?

Personally I think it’s a combination of the 2, we are a bit rubbish and we certainly do expect too much of our national teams.

At the weekend I had the pleasure of watching both our national Rugby teams get stuffed. Please remember the we invented the sport of Rugby. First of all in a game that we were hotly tipped to win easily (why, our tournament record was shit?) our Rugby League team got hammered by New Zealand. Despite a mini comeback at the end of the first half this was not a close game. We were well and truly battered. At no point in the game did we even look like winning, never mind making it a stroll in the park. Read the rest of this entry »
