Everton – Liverpool, The Friendly DerbyBookmark and Share

UK Sports BlogFootball

It kicks off in a couple of hours time, probably one of the strangest derby games you get in football. Families are split as the red and blue halves of Liverpool sit side-by-side. I love watching these games, mainly I’ll admit because I’m always hoping the reds get turned over but it’s also because this game is everything an old school derby should be. Challenges flying in, a good dose of hatred between the players but all with a sense of “we’ll shake hands” at the end of it. The banter between Everton and Liverpool fans is normally great as well, it’s probably the only game of the season where I use Fanzone on Sky. Kick off is at 12:45 and Sky Sports are covering, not bloody Setanta (that’s a rant that’s waiting to be done!)

On top of the merseyside derby the other Premier League games today are:-

15:00 Aston Villa - Sunderland
15:00 Fulham - West Ham
15:00 Manchester Utd - Bolton
15:00 Middlesbrough - West Brom
15:00 Newcastle - Blackburn
15:00 Stoke - Chelsea
17:30 Arsenal - Hull
