Football – The Perfect Storm

Football
This week sees something that I can’t remember ever happening in football before. In 1 week all of the major English and European competitions will be played. Tonight and tomorrow night we have the champions league with 4 English teams in action. For the next 3 nights there are live FA Cup 5th round replays. Thursday sees the second leg of the UEFA Cup games played last week and to top all that of Saturday and Sunday sees an almost full Premier League line up as well as Sundays Carling Cup final between Man Utd and Spurs.
Whichever way you look at it and no matter what teams you follow that is one hell of a week for English football. What it might not be so great for is the wife, it looks like I may have to pick and choose my days carefully, especially considering the Six Nations is back on again this weekend. Can’t beat a bit of live rugby to break up the footy! My plan is to watch the Champions League games tonight and tomorrow, have Thursday and Friday off (sorry FA Cup) and then watch 1 Premier League game on Saturday and then the Carling Cup final on Sunday. I’ll be a bit sneaky with the Six Nations and may resort to watching that on the computer.
Overall it’s going to be a fantastic week of football; I hope you all enjoy it as much as me.
